Vicki Woods
Principal and Teacher
The Principal of DSL is Vicki Woods, a qualified ISTD teacher.
Vicki trained at stage school from the age 3 years. Even though she loved performing professionally her love for teaching and choreography started from around the age of 12 years. She became a qualified teacher at the age of 18 and has taught for many School's over East London and Essex before taking over DSL in 2005.
Vicki continues to enhance her qualifications and has recently become a level 1 cheerleading coach.
"Teaching and dancing is my passion and to be able to share it with next generations is so rewarding. It's not just about learning a craft its about building confidence and life lessons that students can take with them through life."
Lizzy Rosa
Teacher of Dance and GCSE
Lizzy (BA/PGCE/MA) started dancing at the age of 2 and hasn't stopped since! After attending classes in tap, ballet, modern, jazz, musical theatre and acting at her local dance school (where Miss Vicki was my teacher) Lizzy went on to study at Master’s Performing Arts College, gaining a Diploma in Dance and Musical theatre. After 5 years of performing professionally, she went on to gain a degree at Middlesex University, followed by a P.G.C.E at The Royal Academy of dance and most recently a Master’s degree in Dance Technique Pedagogy, at Middlesex University.
"I have always had a profound passion for the arts and I am keen to pass on my knowledge and love for it to others. I have worked in many capacities within the industry including performing and teaching; most recently as Head of dance at my local secondary school. I am excited to continue my role at DSL and look forward to working with all of the students!"

MISS TILLY
Tilly has been dancing with DSL for 12 years and has now completed her vocational exams in dance. She has now started her teacher training course to become an ISTD teacher and continue with a career in dance.
At DSL students have the opportunity to assist in classes and gain work experience as a dance teacher.

MISS AMELIE
Amelie is the newest and youngest of student teachers. She assists with our younger classes. Amelie is a budding performer and as appeared in many adverts as well as the I am Victoria series on CH4.
